As part of the effort to support the Ethiopian higher education and training sector, the Sustainable Training and Education Program (STEP-GIZ) is very keen to implement graduate internship as a pilot on selected number of graduates with close collaboration with few selected local universities and the results may positively affect the employability of graduated and productivity of industries & the private sector at large. Jimma Institute of Technology of Jimma University is among selected local Universities. Therefore below are presented the available vacancies/positions for the pilot implementation graduate internship.
Responsibility of Graduate Intern
Ø Maintain regular attendance in the internship and exercise punctuality, cooperation, honesty, diligence, and a willingness to learn.
Ø Work on a schedule arranged by the organization, under the supervision of the designated supervisor of the organization.
Ø Complete the graduate internship pilot program based on graduate internship/trainee employee agreement
Ø Participate in all relevant interviews, orientation meetings and trainings required by the organization.
Ø Model appropriate, professional behavior when working with clients and when on the organization’s site(s).
Ø Participate in the performance evaluation with appropriate organization representative at completion of work experience.
Ø Maintain confidentiality of information gained during the internship program.
Ø The graduate intern acknowledges that participation in this paid internship experience holds no promise of future employment, but does not preclude future employment.
Eligibility requirement for the application:
1. The applicant must be only 2010 E.C Graduates of Jimma Institute of Technology of Jimma University
2. The applicant must be currently unemployed
3. The applicant must be a BSc holder in one of the fields of studies indicated below in the vacancy.
