Jimma University Institute of Health has three faculties; namely, Health Science, Medicine, and Public Health. These faculties encompass 22 departments. The institute has 700 academic staff, a little above 3400 undergraduate-, and 1000-masters students. Moreover, it has students in 21 PhD programs, 15 specialty programs, and 5 sub-specialty programs.
