The 2nd International Conference on (๐๐ ๐๐๐ฅ)African Medical Education and Research was completed.
Jimma University Institute of Health hosted a two-day conference on โAMEAR: African Medical Education and Researchโ from May 9-10, 2024.
The Centre for International Health (CIH) LMU Munich, Germany organized the conference in collaboration with Jimma University.
In his opening speech, Dr. Ahmed Zeynudin, chief executive Director of JUIH, explained that the commitment to excellence in medical education transcends borders and the conference aims to provide a platform for sharing experiences, challenges, and best practices in health professions education in Africa, as well as to foster collaboration and networking among researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners in the field.
Other keynote speakers at the conference included Prof. Netsanet Workneh, Jimma University Research and Community Service Vice President; Dr Solomon Worku Beza, and Advisor to MOH on issues related to health workforce, MS, Marie–Catherine Rausch and Prof. Mathias Siebeck shared their remarks on the conference.
