JU’s CISCO Networking Academy Graduates Students

CISCO Networking Academy of Jimma University graduated, 136 students- 45 female and 91 Male who took a training on networking for 10 months on July 5, 2017 at Natural Science Meeting hall located in the main campus of the University.

The graduation commenced with the welcoming speech by Mr. shimelis Chala, Director of the Jimma University ICT Development Directorate. He stated that JU’s Cisco Academy is the only academy in the country which is established under the agreement of Ministry of Education and Cisco systems and earned prizes in various titles from the International Cisco Networking Academy for it has well qualified instructors whose skills and performances are approved by professionals across the globe.  The academy has been offering training in CCNA, IT Essential, Basic Computers, IBM, CCNA security, Get connected, Cyber Security and IOE to the students, teachers and  staff of the University and to other universities and colleges in the country.

Professor Taye Tolemariam, Vice President for Academic Affairs and the guest of honor, has appreciated the Academy for its outstanding performances that made it to be the only Instructor Training Center (ITC) in the country.  He has also expressed his gratitude to the staff of the Academy for their relentless support they gave to their students, and other cluster University staff.  He finally reminded the graduates to bring a significant development to the country by implementing the knowledge they gained through their study. Then the ceremony came to its end by awarding certificates to the trainees.
