Jimma University is hosting a scientific workshop in the areas of Microbiology and Ecology in collaboration with the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Science. The workshop is being held at JU’s Big Senate Hall on 20th April 2019. Present on the event and attending the workshop are seven seasoned professors from IMCAS, China, professors from the department of Biology of JU and post graduate students from the College of Natural Sciences.
The two institutions presented each other’s profile which was followed by presentation of scientific papers. Seven scientific papers are being presented on the event accompanied with fascinating discussions and reflections.
JU and the Chinese Academy of Science has already established partnership through exchange visits’ of professors and signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote academic exchange and sharing of knowledge and experiences.
