JU finalizing Multilingual Mobile and Web Applications to aid the fight against COVID-19

Jimma University ICT Directorate Application Development Team is finalizing the development of multilingual mobile and web applications as part of the initiative to deal with the pandemic through innovative ways.       
The Mobile application is said to assist in tracking and identifying suspected cases, categorized care reporting and visualization, self-assessment targeted at helping individuals seek the right assistance from health centers and professionals, and news feeds. 
The web application has many features including resource management (Isolation and treatment center with their facilities, location, capacity), categorized case reporting and visualization (Suspect, confirmed cases, recovered, etc), visitors registration (Visitors coming to Jimma zone) with their emergency contact person, self-screening targeted at helping individuals seek the right assistance from health centers and professionals, information desk (available health facilities (Public, private), Location, Opening hours, Distance from the user) on map, volunteer registration, audiovisual information and News feeds, FAQ (Frequently asked questions) and  Contact information. 
Jimma University is contributing its level best in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and calls on all citizens to take the necessary precautions to save themselves and their loved ones.
