Jimma University’s Ethiopian Evidence Based Health Care Centre conducts training in Ethiopian Public Health Institute, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Jimma University’s Ethiopian Evidence Based Health Care Centre conducted training on various methods of systematic review in Ethiopian Evidence Public Health Institute (EPHI) from 3 – 9 February, 2019 in Addis Ababa. This training covered – scoping review, rapid response review, grade using Gradepro software, policy brief and policy dialogue.

There were 26 participants of whom 20 were from EPHI, 3 each from Ministry of Health and Armour Hansen Institute. Trainers were Kalkidan Hassen, GarummaTolu,AbdulhaliK Worchiko, Desta Hiko and Prof. Morankar Sudhakar.

Participants appreciated the training and they will use various methodologies to produce systematic reviews and suggested to have this training to all experts from EPHI so that they will produce their research in the form of policy brief which will be useful for the Ministry of Health. Yosef Gebreyohannes of Knowledge Translation Department of EPHI has positively considered the request and he said we will have long term collaboration with Jimma University’s Evidence Based Health Care Centre to continue these activities.
