Jimma University (JU) ranked 1st in East-Africa and Ethiopia for Clinical and Health Discipline by Times Higher Education (THE)

It would be recalled that Jimma University was ranked 1st in Citation by Times Higher Education (THE) in its overall World University Ranking released on October 12, 2022.
Today, the Times Higher Education (THE) world university ranking by subject has just been released, and Jimma University has been ranked first in East-Africa and Ethiopia, and fourth (4th) in Africa, for clinical and Health subjects. This ranking places Jimma University among the 55 universities across 14 countries in Africa that took part in the ranking.
This outstanding accomplishment by JU is, in fact, a monument to the continued commitment by the government of Ethiopia in health education as well as the tireless efforts of the staff, doctors, students, and researchers at Jimma University institute of health.
