Jimma University and the O-Yes Global Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote partnerships that will contribute to youth empowerment and development. This is essential for sustainable development and peace in the local community and for the country on the whole.
The MOU was signed by Jimma University’s president, Dr. Jemal Abafita, and the O-Yes Global Foundation’s Founder & Executive Director, Mr. Kemal Abdela. The agreement outlines a strategic partnership that will foster the design and implementation of inclusive, innovative, and sustainable programs/projects for the youth and community.
Dr. Jemal Abafita praised the foundation’s commitment to supporting and strengthening Jimma University’s work with the community. He also stated that this MOU would create further opportunities to collaborate with many other partners.
Mr. Kemal Abdela expressed his enthusiasm for partnering with one of the top universities in Ethiopia. He believes that this collaboration will create new opportunities for the youth and the community.
The MOU was signed during a special ceremony at Jimma University, attended by university officials and O-Yes Global Foundation representatives.
O-Yes Global Foundation was established and registered in Thailand in 2014 and is working to strengthen ties between Asia and Africa.
