The new Board of Governance of Jimma University has endorsed the professorship request of four senior academic staffs of Jimma University in its 56th regular session held today at the University’s Senate hall. With six other promotions endorsed in August 2021, the number of staffs promoted to the rank of full professor within the year comes to 10.
Accordingly, Daniel Yilma has become Professor of Internal Medicine; Gurmessa Tura, Professor of Reproductive and Public Health; Seid Tiku, Professor of Ecology and Environmental Health; and Zewdie Birhanu, Professor of Health Promotion and Health Communication.
