In an important milestone, Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI) and Jimma University came together in a high-level collaborative discussion. Dr. Jemal Abafita, Jimma University president warmly welcomed the representatives from AHRI, recognizing AHRI as one of the nation’s distinguished research institutes.
During the discussion, Dr. Jemal emphasized the ongoing collaborative efforts between the two institutions and expressed a strong desire to further strengthen their relationship. Professors Dilnesaw and Professor. Demisew from Jimma University provided updates on the progress of AHRI-funded projects, enlightening the audience about the institute’s contributions.
The consultative discussion with AHRI clearly demonstrated the intent to elevate the partnership to new heights, reaffirming AHRI’s commitment to advancing innovation through collaboration. Prof. Afework Kassu, Director General of AHRI, emphasized the enduring nature of the partnership between Jimma University and AHRI, highlighting their shared vision and unwavering dedication. He expressed confidence in the continued growth and prosperity of the collaboration as they venture into new realms of the future.
Lastly, Jimma University and AHRI reached an agreement to pursue research collaborations for the betterment of health, the development of traditional medicine resources, and the promotion of natural product research and development. This collaboration aims to leverage the strengths of both institutes to make significant contributions in these areas.
