የምርምር ስነ-ምግባር ስልጠና

በሳይንስና ከፍተኛ ትምህርት ሚኒስቴር፣ ጅማ ዩኒቨርሲቲ እና የአውሮፓና ታደጊ ሀገሮች የጥናት አጋርነት (ኢ.ዲ.ቲ.ሲ.ፒ) በጋራ ያዘጋጁት የምርምር ስነ-ምግባር አቅም ግንባታ ስልጠና በጅማ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ስብሰባ ማዕከል እየተካሄደ ነው፡፡

በዚህ መርሀ-ግብር ላይ የእንኳን ደህና መጣችሁ መልዕክት ያስተላለፉት የጅማ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ፕሬዚደንት ዶ/ር ጀማል አባፊጣ “ይህ ስልጠና ከተመራማሪዎችና የምርምር ስነ-ምግባር ኮሚቴዎች የሚጠበቀውን ውጤትና ተፈፃሚነት ከማረጋገጥ አንፃር ጉልህ ሚና አለው፡፡ በምርምር ስራ ሂደት ውስጥ ተጋላጭ ለሆኑ የማህበረሰብ ክፍሎች ክብርና ስብዕና ጥንቃቄ ማድረግ እንደሚገባ ተናግረዋል”፡፡

ፕሬዚደንቱ አክለውም በአሁኑ ወቅት የስነ-ምግባር ግድፈት ያሉባቸው የምርምር እና ህትመት ስራዎች በሀገሪቱ ከፍተኛ ትምህርት ተቋማት እየተስተዋሉ መሆናቸዉን ተናግረው ለችግሮቹ በርካታ ምክንያቶች ቢኖሩም የምርምር ስነ-ምግባር ቦርድ እና ሌሎች የሚመለከታቸው አካላትን የመፈፀም አቅም በመሰል ስልጠናዎች ማጠናከር ያስፈልጋል ብለዋል፡፡

ስልጠናውን በንግግር የከፈቱት የሳይንስና ከፍተኛ ትምህርት ሚኒስትር ዲኤታ ፕሮፌሰር አፈወርቅ ካሡ ኢትዮጵያ የበርካታ ሀገር በቀል እውቀቶች ባለቤት በመሆኗ እነዚህን ፀጋዎች በስነ-ምግባር ላይ የተመሰረቱ ጥናቶችን በማድረግ የሚፈለገውን ልማት እውን ማድረግ እንደሚገባ ተናግረዋል፡፡

ያሉን ሀብቶች ከኢትዮጵያ አልፈው አፍሪካን የማልማት አቅም ያላቸው በመሆናቸው የስነ-ምግባር መርህን የተከተለ ጥናትና ምርምር በማድረግ ማሳተም እና ለአለም ገበያ ማቅረብ እንደሚገባ ፕሮፌሰር አፈወርቅ አክለዋል፡፡

ስልጠናው በምርምር መርሆዎች፣ የምርምር ስነ-ምግባር ህግጋት፣ በምርምር ሂደት የግለሰቦች መብት፣ የመረጃ ሚስጥራዊነት እና የፍላጎት ግጭቶች እንዲሁም በሌሎች ተያያዥ ጉዳዮች ላይ ያተኮረ እንደሆነ ተገልጽዋል፡፡

የምርምር ስነ-ምግባር ስልጠናው ለተመራማሪዎች፣ ለምርምር ኮሚቴ አባላት እና ለምርምር ዳይሬክተሮች የተዘጋጀ መሆኑም ተነገሯል፡፡

በደቡብ ምዕራብ ኢትዮጵያ የሚገኙ ክላስተር ዩኒቨርሲቲዎች፣ ከሳይንስና ከፍተኛ ትምህርት ሚኒስቴር የመጡ ከፍተኛ የሥራ ሀላፊዎች፣ ከኦሮሚያ የተለያዩ ተቋማት የመጡ እንግዶች እና የጅማ ዩኒቨርሲቲ ተመራማሪዎች በምርምር ስነ-ምግባር ስልጠና ላይ እየተሳተፉ ሲሆን ስልጠናው በነገው እለትም ቀጥሎ ይውላል ተብሏል፡፡

Training on research ethics

Jimma University hosts capacity-building training on research ethics. It is given to research officeholders and professional researchers from different universities, institutions, and organizations.

Jimma University president, Dr. Jemal Abbafita made a welcoming speech and said, this training is timely and of great impact for the better handling of problems related to research ethics. He thanks MOSHE authorities and senior researchers for providing this instrumental opportunity.

MoSHE State minister Prof. Afework Kassu stated that science is not strange to Ethiopia as Ethiopia is a cradle of human beings and home of different species. He added digging out, acquiring knowledge, and accessing the wider areas should be the tasks of researchers, which demands due attention.

The main objective of the training is to enhance the competencies of research directors, researchers, research institutes, and universities.

On the training, it has been said that predatory publications cause harm to an individual and country at large. Hence, any publications should meet the minimum criteria and promotions should be done accordingly.

The training was initiated by MoSHE (Ministry of Science and Higher Education) in collaboration with European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) and continues until tomorrow.
