Vice President for Academic Affairs
Jimma University Academic Affairs Vice President reports to the President and serves as chief administrator in the absence of the President. The Vice President also works closely with the President and other Vice Presidents to provide strategic leadership and long term planning. The Vice President for Academic Affairs provides leadership to the academic and academic-related units of the university. The Office provides leadership to all academic areas so they reflect the mission of the institution.
The Vice President oversees academic planning, academic program review, and curriculum development, provides leadership to colleges and institutes to ensure academic quality and standards meet the needs of students. The Vice President ensures the compliances of academic programs and delivery with various national, regional and international accreditation agencies and regulations. In addition the Vice President for Academic Affairs supervises the director of library, School of post-graduate studies and the Registrar and provides leadership in creating and maintaining academic integrity at Jimma University.
