During this visit Mohamed Abazinab discussed the areas of collaboration with Jimma University President Dr. Jemal Abafita and his team.
The key components of CDIC’s optimized CKD management strategy and discussed for the collaboration include:
• Early and accurate case finding among appropriate at-risk groups.
• Risk-based patient management including lifestyle, dietary and pharmacologic interventions.
• Efficient and effective multidisciplinary care clinics that slow progression, reduce unplanned dialysis starts and enable and empower patients to transition optimally to home based therapies.
After the collaborative discussions with Jimma University, Mr. Abazinab has donated some books, a laptop computer and a Sumsung Galaxy tablet to two community schools in Jimma town.
