Personal protective equipment, PPE designed, developed, and manufactured by the design, development, and manufacturing of personal protective equipment (PPE) sub-team of Jimma Institute of Technology, JiT has been delivered and handed over to the Institute of Health Sciences, IHS of Jimma University. The PPE delivered consists of 100 face masks and 40 face shields. The PPE was handed over to Dr. Mohmmed Mecha, Executive Director with the rank of Vice President of IHS by Mr. Efrem Wakjira, Scientific Vice Director, Acting of JiT. Furthermore, a discussion was made between the two parties on the issue of initiating mass production of PPE at JiT. Accordingly, JiT took the responsibility to develop a project proposal meant for the production of 3000 face masks and 1000 face shields.
