At ECE of Jimma Institute of Technology, students develop the ability to relate the taught material in a lively, active manner for application in the engineering environment. Students are directed towards the scientific concepts and engineering laws needed to interpret and evaluate engineering problems.
Computer centers
There are three huge computer laboratory dedicated for programming related exercises and two project rooms equipped with computers for project and research center for students.

Laboratory experience and extensive design projects reinforce the understanding of theory. Training is provided in the theory and laboratory application of logic and electrical circuits, electromagnetic fields, transmission and modulation theory, radar and antenna systems, linear systems, electrical machines and transformers, three phase distribution systems, robotic systems, control systems, electronics and microprocessors.
The school possesses basic, medium and advanced laboratory rooms to help students exercise the aforementioned fields’ practical experiments.
