Materials Science and Engineering

The Department of Materials Science and Engineering, part of the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, is dedicated to advancing the understanding and application of materials across various industries. As Materials Science and Engineering gains importance, it plays a crucial role in innovations from aerospace insulators to energy-efficient compounds. Technological advances have led to materials with unique properties such as photon-to-electricity conversion, conductivity, and thermal insulation. This has heightened the demand for novel fabrication techniques, new material properties, and sustainable solutions from industries, governments, and society.

The Department offers one undergraduate and two postgraduate programs (MSc and PhD), focusing on equipping students with the knowledge and skills to meet these emerging challenges in the field of Materials Science and Engineering.
