For the second time, a team of neurosurgeons from UC Davis, California, comprised of neurosurgical specialists and other professionals, arrived here two days ago and are working at Jimma University Medical Center, as part of the second edition of UC Global Neurosurgery Mission in Ethiopia.
In addition to the specialized outreach services, the team has brought equipment and supplies worth $400,000 for the second round this year (last year they mobilized $30,000 worth in vital equipment and supplies during the first round) for Jimma University Medical Center.
The team will provide advanced surgical interventions for patients in need and will continue the third round of visit next year as well.
