A Performance Contractual Agreement (PCA) was signed between vice presidents, college deans, and institute directors at Jimma University.
The meeting began with a brief opening remark by Dr. Jemal Abafita, the President of Jimma University. He presented the PCA document for open discussion and feedback.
The document addresses various sections related to academic, research, community, and administrative issues, as well as matters concerning the president and the offices under the president. It also outlines guidelines for implementing change through a cascading model that starts from the president and extends down to the departmental levels.
Additionally, the PCA includes systems for implementation, monitoring, evaluation, support, reporting, and strategies for effecting change based on insights from monthly, quarterly, and biannual progress reports. While submitting performance reports is mandatory, simply providing reports will not be enough; they will be evaluated based on the quality of information they contain and the future directions they suggest.
Before concluding the meeting, participants shared valuable comments to aid in the implementation of the document, and the final signing ceremony was held among college, institute, and center directors.
