Jimma University was pleased to host members of the KADLA Overseas Volunteer Corps from the United States of America and the Republic of Korea from August 16–22, 2026, as part of a collaborative initiative to strengthen dental education and expand access to quality oral healthcare. 
During their visit, the volunteer team provided free dental clinical services to patients at Jimma University Medical Center and delivered lectures and practical training for medical and dental students. The program focused particularly on dental prosthetic services, including practical demonstrations and training in denture production.
The visiting team included dental and technical professionals from the United States and the Republic of Korea. In addition to providing clinical services and training, the team brought dental equipment, teaching materials, medical supplies, and consumables to support the program.
At the conclusion of the visit, the team donated dental equipment, materials, and supplies to Jimma University Medical Center, which will continue to support dental education, training, and patient care.
Jimma University President Dr. Dereje Engida expressed his appreciation to the KADLA Overseas Volunteer Corps for their valuable contribution to the University and the community. He commended the team for sharing their expertise, providing free dental services, supporting practical education, and donating essential equipment and materials.
The visiting team expressed its commitment to continuing the partnership with Jimma University and promised to return next year for their fifth visit, further strengthening the collaboration in dental education, clinical service, and professional capacity building.
