The Department of Information Science at Jimma Institute of Technology aims to equip students with essential skills in information management, digital resources, and data science. The department offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including a Bachelor of Science in Information Science, a Master of Science in Information Science (Stream of Information and Knowledge management and stream of Electronic and Digital Resource Management), a Master of Science in Data Science, and a doctoral program in Information Science.
