Introducing the Jimma University Architecture Students Association (JUASA)

Jimma University, Jimma Institute of Technology, JU-JiT is proud to announce the establishment of the Jimma University Architecture Students Association (JUASA), officially inaugurated on April 2, 2025. This student-led initiative marks a transformative step toward fostering active participation, innovation, collaboration, and excellence among aspiring architects at Jimma and beyond.
JUASA was founded to unite architecture students under a shared mission: to bridge academic theory with practical design solutions while addressing Ethiopia’s evolving urban, rural, and environmental challenges. The association aims to create a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, skill development, and community engagement, empowering students to participate in the teaching and learning process, accreditation of the program, and become leaders in sustainable and culturally responsive design.
