Jimma University has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) in India, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership between the two institutions.
The agreement was signed by Dr. Jemal Abafita, President of Jimma University, and Dr. R. Seenivasan, Director of International Relations at VIT, alongside Dr. A. James Devaraj, International Relations Officer at VIT.
This collaboration aims to enhance various areas, including student exchanges, study visits, training programs, participation in bachelor’s degree offerings, and the establishment of Centers of Excellence, research collaborations, a twinning Programme, and faculty exchanges. The partnership seeks to strengthen institutional ties between the two universities.
