The President of Jimma University Dr. Jemal Abafita, accompanied by members of the Senate, recently visited Agaro Campus to assess its development initiatives. They were warmly received by Dr. Abdulhakim Abamacha, the Dean of Agaro Campus, along with the faculty members.

Under Dr. Abdulhakim’s guidance, Agaro Campus has achieved significant progress in agriculture and infrastructure. Key advancements include the establishment of new dairy farm, expansion of poultry and beekeeping projects, livestock fattening programs, and the cultivation of 20 hectares of rice and maize. Additionally, efforts have been made towards campus beautification and the rejuvenation of coffee plantations through the introduction of new seedlings.





The visiting delegation praised the remarkable achievements and reiterated the university’s commitment to providing ongoing support for these initiatives to promote sustainable growth.
