Jimma University Drug and Poison Information Center (JUDPIC) routinely respond to requests regarding:
- Appropriatetherapy for specific patients
- Adversereactions to drugs
- Availability of agents/medications
- Efficacyand safety of drugs
- Druginteractions
- Medications compatibilities
- Biopharmaceutical and pharmacokinetic parameters of drugs
- Dosingin special populations( Organ impairments, geriatrics, pediatrics, comorbidities, pregnancy, lactation, etc)
- Appropriatetherapy for a disease state
- Identification of foreign drugs
- Information on investigational agents
- Information on new drugs
- Identification of unknown capsules and tablets
- Poisoning prevention and management.
- The JUDPIC does notrespond to medico legal questions
Telepharmacy Services
Jimma University Drug and Poison Information Center (JUDPIC) will delivery of pharmaceutical care/clinical pharmacy services via telecommunications to patients in locations where they may not have direct contact with a pharmacist. Besides this, it will provide telephone based services relate to medications use for health care professionals, other clients and the whole communities, especially for those areas inaccessible to trained drug and drug therapy experts.
Hours of Operation
Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5:00pm
Closed on national and University holidays
