Welcome to Jimma University Drug & Poison Information Center and thank you for visiting our site. Our drug information service (DIS) is a free resource for health care professionals, patients and general public. Physicians, pharmacists, nurses, other allied health practitioners in all areas of health care services, patients and public are invited to contact us with questions of any nature (emergent and non-emergent) related to drugs and poisons. Jimma University Drug & Poison Information Center also provides information on the management of any poison situations. As medicine is an ever-changing science, a new research and clinical experience broaden our knowledge, changes in treatment and drug therapy as well. Our specially trained clinical pharmacist(s) and/or drug information pharmacist(s) provide accurate, unbiased, factual information in response to patient oriented drug problems that are received from health care professionals. Our center offers a service through clinical pharmacy department which provides advice and act as a referral service by directing the best available resource to respond to query or concern. The center also provides experiential training for both postgraduate and undergraduate students, training for practicing health care professionals and undertaking operational researches related to health care services. By and large, the center invites you to utilize the service(s) related to drug and drug therapy, which is provided by our pharmaceutical care practitioner(s).
