Conference Overview
The 6th International Oromo Studies Conference marks ten years of the Institute of Oromo Studies (IOS) and convenes scholars, practitioners, technologists, artists, youth innovators, and policymakers to critically engage Oromo knowledge systems in the context of digital transformation. As digital technologies increasingly shape knowledge production, language use, cultural expression, and heritage preservation, the conference foregrounds epistemic justice, addressing whose knowledge is represented, who governs digital infrastructures, and how indigenous knowledge systems can shape ethical and inclusive digital futures.
The conference provides an interdisciplinary platform to examine the future of Oromo language, arts, culture, and indigenous knowledge within emerging technological environments while advancing linguistic equity, cultural sustainability, and intergenerational knowledge continuity.

Submissions are invited under, but not limited to, the following thematic areas:
- Indigenous Knowledge, Digital Transformation, and Epistemic Justice
- Afaan Oromoo, Language Technologies, and Digital Futures
- Creative and Cultural Industries, Digital Archives and Inclusive Digital Economies
- Youth, Innovation, and Intergenerational Digital Participation

* Abstract submission guidelines:
| Title should be typed in bold, title case and set in the center of the page. The title length must be limited to 200 characters including spaces, written in Times New Roman, line space: 1.5 and font size of 12. Abbreviations are not permitted in the title.

Both abstract and keywords should be (Times New Roman, line space: 1.5 and font size:12)
