Jimma University is immensely proud of its alumnus and former staff member for achieving this monumental milestone. His success is a powerful affirmation of the quality education and research the university provides its students. A success story like his not only brings pride to the institution but also serves as a beacon, attracting future prosperous students who aspire to make a similar global impact.
Dr. Getandale’s journey is a testament to what is possible. Growing up in a remote part of Oromia, Ethiopia, he never imagined representing his country on a global stage and championing the dreams of young people from underserved backgrounds. He hopes his achievement will inspire students and researchers everywhere to believe that with determination, excellence, and perseverance, anything is possible.
