Every summer (Kiremt), the Ethiopian government spearheads a nationwide tree-planting campaign. This year’s theme, “Renewal through Planting,” is vividly embodied in our land restoration efforts at Jimma zone, Kersa Woreda, Bulbul Keble.
Twelve years ago, this site was a barren, red-soiled gully ravaged by summer (Kiremt) floods and left lifeless in winter (Bega). Today, after years of sustained intervention, the landscape has been transformed into a thriving green haven. Even small springs have begun to revive in Bulbul, a testament to nature’s resilience.
We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to supporting and advancing the Ethiopian government’s Green Legacy initiative, ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
