EngenderHealth, through its Integrated RMNCH plus PPFP scale-up project, has partnered with Jimma University Comprehensive Specialized Hospital (CSH) to enhance the quality of reproductive and maternal health services. The collaboration culminated in a successful two-day on-site orientation focused on Family Planning (FP) Service Integration and the E-MOTIVE bundle management care for service providers.
The intensive training brought together healthcare professionals from various critical units, including EPI, ANC, Family Planning, Labour and Delivery, and Maternity wards. This multidisciplinary approach aimed to foster a coordinated and integrated service delivery model, ensuring that women and families receive comprehensive care across all points of contact within the health system.
In his official opening remark, Dr. Hunde, Chief Clinical Director of Jimma University CSH, underscored the transformative potential of the training. “This orientation is crucial for catalyzing service uptake and strengthening institutional ownership,” stated Dr. Hunde. “Sustainability must be built from the ground up, starting from the very beginning of such initiatives. We warmly welcome the EngenderHealth team and all participants to this vital capacity-building exercise.”The collaborative training was facilitated jointly by the EngenderHealth central team and senior gynecologists from Jimma University CSH. This partnership created a robust platform for knowledge sharing and practical learning, significantly strengthening the capacity of service providers to manage complications and integrate family planning services seamlessly.
