Jimma University President warmly welcomed the delegates from West Bohemia University in Pilsen, Czech Republic. The president expressed gratitude for the delegates visit and appreciated an on going collaborative initiative between the two Universities.
The visiting team secured funding from the Czech Republic government for a capacity-building training project named “Ethio Tech”, which will be implemented in collaboration with Jimma University.
“Ethio Tech” project aims to build the capacity of staff at Jimma University Institute of Technology and to foster collaborative opportunities in engineering disciplines including the newly established Aviation and Aerospace Engineering program.
As part of the Ethio Tech project, four staff members from Jimma University will travel to West Bohemia University to share experiences and strengthen the partnership between the two institutions. The Czech delegation participated in intensive meetings and planning sessions with members of the Jimma Institute of Technology, outlining the next steps for collaboration.
