Strategic Objectives

The CCERC has identified six strategic objectives that define its focus:

1. Leadership and Strategy: Establish CCERC as a recognized hub for climate and environmental research, providing visionary leadership at national and international levels.
2. Research and Academic Development: Conduct interdisciplinary research that integrates environmental sciences with health, agriculture, technology, and social sciences, producing knowledge that addresses real-world challenges.
3. Collaboration and Partnerships: Strengthen networks and partnerships with local, national, and international institutions to leverage expertise, share knowledge, and increase impact.
4. Resource Mobilization and Management: Secure sustainable funding, strengthen infrastructure, and ensure transparent, and efficient use of resources.
5. Policy and Community Engagement: Translate scientific evidence into policies, guidelines, and innovations that benefit governments, practitioners, and communities.
6. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL): Establish systems to measure progress, assess outcomes, and adapt strategies to enhance effectiveness and impact.

Together, these objectives provide a framework for consolidating CCERC as a leader in addressing climate change and environmental issues in Ethiopia and the region.
