The one-week celebration of Research and Innovation Week at Jimma University, which was launched yesterday, continued today under the theme “Building Stronger Collaboration for Impact.”
In his opening speech, Dr. Zerihun Assefa, Jimma University’s Vice President for Research and Community Service, emphasized that this program provides an opportunity to discuss important issues that contribute to strengthening the university’s collaborative projects. Dr. Zerihun added that to enhance the university’s research capacity and achieve better results, it is crucial to promote collaborative projects and effective administration.
Three presentations were made during the program, addressing key topics that help the university advance in collaborative research. Participants engaged in discussions by asking questions, offering comments, and providing suggestions, to which the presenters responded.
The event concluded with a visit to various collaborative projects on the main campus, including those in agriculture and veterinary medicine, as well as the Jimma University Institute of Technology.
