Program Facilities
The department offers excellent facilities for pursuing a PhD in Plant Breeding. These facilities include a dedicated laboratory for hands-on training and open-field research. The labs are well-equipped with essential instruments such as PCR machines, electrophoresis units, freezers, cold room, water purification system, autoclaves, water distillers, plate scanners, DNA extraction settings, centrifuges, providing comprehensive resources for advanced research.
Additionally, tissue culture lab is available equipped with airflow hood, growth chamber, nitrogen analyzer, deionizer, freezer and steam sterilizer. Furthermore, the program offers access to greenhouses, demonstration field sites, and research fields for practical application. Alongside these scientific resources, the facilities include a computer center, library, and well-equipped smart classrooms, providing an optimal environment for learning and research
