Department Facilities
The Animal Science department has a number of the necessary resources and facilities, which have been acquired through the course of its existence for more than five decades. Through its long time of teaching and research experience, the Department has acquired the necessary resources that enable it to offer various training programs and laid a firm foundation for further educational development. The existing relevant farms, laboratories, teaching, and research staff are at the required level to continue the An. Sc programs up to the Ph.D. level.
The department has laboratories purposely built for animal nutrition, dairy, and bee products and it also runs five old operational animal farms namely: dairy, apiculture, beef, swine, and poultry (having incubation of 13,000 egg capacity) farms, used as tools for practical training since all of the departmental production courses are envisioned to be strongly job-oriented
