A Major Milestone for Architecture at Jimma University!

Jimma University is proud to announce a major milestone in our ongoing commitment to providing quality architectural education.

Following the second visit of a two-member team of experts from the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) of the United States of America in May 2025, we are delighted to share that at their October 24–25, 2025, meeting, the Directors of the NAAB voted to advance Jimma University’s Bachelor of Architecture degree to Visit 3 (Initial Certification Visit).

This achievement reflects the dedication, professionalism, and hard work of the faculty, staff, and students of the Architecture Program. It represents a significant step forward in our pursuit of international certification and accreditation for our undergraduate programs, strengthening the University’s position as a center of excellence in architectural education.

Jimma University remains committed to supporting the Architecture Program through the final stages of this process, with the goal of achieving full NAAB International Certification by Fall 2026.
